1. About us
The Inner Game of Change Institute, led by Ali Juma, provides workshops, masterclasses, learning experiences, educational materials and digital learning resources focused on organisational change, artificial intelligence adoption, better thinking and work redesign.
We respect the privacy of participants, clients, collaborators and visitors who engage with our activities and resources.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store and manage personal information.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you engage with us, we may receive:
-
Your name, organisation, position and contact information when you contact us directly.
-
Enquiries, feedback, evaluations and learning preferences voluntarily shared with us.
-
Information you choose to share during workshops, learning activities or professional engagements.
-
Information reasonably necessary to administer our services, respond to enquiries and fulfil agreed engagements.
Workshop registrations and attendee databases are managed by our client organisations and event partners, not independently by the Institute.
Please avoid sharing confidential business information or sensitive personal information unless it is necessary, appropriate and authorised.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
-
Organise and deliver workshops, masterclasses and learning programs.
-
Communicate with clients, participants and event organisers where appropriate.
-
Provide learning materials, certificates and follow-up resources.
-
Respond to questions and requests.
-
Evaluate and improve our learning experiences.
-
Meet administrative, contractual and legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
We do not automatically add workshop participants to marketing mailing lists simply because they attended an event.
Where we send optional promotional communications, we will follow applicable Australian requirements and provide appropriate choices to opt out.
4. Workshops and learning experiences
The Institute delivers workshops and learning programs for client organisations and event partners.
Registration processes, attendee lists and participant administration are managed by the commissioning organisation or event organiser under their own privacy arrangements.
The Institute does not independently maintain workshop registration databases.
During learning activities, participants may voluntarily share ideas, experiences, business challenges or examples.
We encourage participants to use anonymised examples and avoid disclosing confidential or sensitive information.
Some events may involve photographs, recordings or participant feedback. Any collection or use of identifiable recordings, images or testimonials will be explained where appropriate and managed in accordance with applicable consent and privacy requirements.
5. Digital learning materials and AI companions
The Institute may provide downloadable guides, Thinking Moves, educational resources and AI learning companions, including Learn Your Way Forward.
Some resources operate through third-party artificial intelligence platforms such as ChatGPT.
For the current version of Learn Your Way Forward, the plugin does not operate a separate Institute participant database or independently send participants' conversations to Ali Juma or the Institute.
The AI platform may process and retain conversations according to its own policies, terms and account settings.
Participants should review the privacy arrangements of any third-party platform before entering personal, confidential or sensitive information.
The Institute does not control the storage or deletion of conversations held solely by external platforms.
If a digital learning resource introduces additional information collection, integrations or data processing, we will update the relevant privacy information.
6. Sharing information
We may share personal information with service providers or delivery partners where reasonably necessary to provide our services, subject to applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.
We do not disclose participants' personal information to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing purposes without an appropriate lawful basis.
7. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information held by the Institute against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
The Institute may retain ordinary business correspondence received through its email account for responding to enquiries, managing professional relationships and meeting applicable business obligations.
We do not maintain a separate workshop participant registration database.
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose and any applicable legal, contractual or administrative obligations.
When no longer required, information will be securely deleted or deidentified where appropriate.
8. Third-party websites and services
Our website, learning resources and communications may link to services operated by other organisations.
These services may have separate privacy policies and data handling practices.
We encourage users to review those policies before providing information.
9. Your privacy choices
You may contact the Institute to ask about personal information we hold directly about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern.
Requests for deletion will be considered in accordance with applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations.
Where information is held by a third-party platform, relevant requests may need to be directed to that provider.
10. International data processing
Some service providers and artificial intelligence platforms may process information outside Australia.
Where relevant, the handling of information by those providers is subject to their applicable contractual arrangements, privacy policies and Australian legal requirements.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, learning resources, technology or legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on our website with its effective date.
